
Chuck Callahan
Chuck brings over three decades of analytical experience to Heliostat Capital. He spent the first ten years in the engineering world developing combustion models and designing advanced fighter aircraft engines, while his second act has focused on structured products, corporate finance, quantitative analysis and credit.Over sixteen years were spent in banks in a variety of structuring, trading and sales roles. Chuck started out building the models and infrastructure needed to run the Collateralized Debt Obligation (CDO), Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) and correlation businesses at SG. During the Global Financial Crisis and after, he worked as a trader (liquidating 1.5bn of RMBS, hedging), a credit analyst (pricing positions, bad bank management), and a restructuring expert (monoline litigation and restructuring). In 2014, he went back on offense and built the loan TRS, MML financing and CRE repo financing platforms and moved closer to clients, taking on sales roles in private credit.
Chuck received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton, and an MBA from Columbia University.

Curtis Camp
Curtis brings significant real estate experience to Heliostat Capital. He has managed a family office portfolio of 50 rental units across eight New England properties, conducting cashflow analyses of commercial and residential units, securing appraisals, developing portfolio optimization strategies (acquisition, disposal), creating and implementing maintenance and improvement plans, and restructuring the ownership scheme for tax efficiency and risk optimization. This diverse set of skills is applied at Heliostat, where he analyzes banks, portfolios and credits, and supports model construction, optimization, execution and analysis.Curtis graduated from St. Lawrence University with a dual major in Economics and Business, and a minor in Government. He has a keen interest in environmental economics, cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
